So last week we dropped some exciting news:
We’re hosting the first ever Midwest House Summit December 3-4th in our hometown, Grand Rapids, MI.
(GET ON THAT WAITLIST, Y’ALL)
The Summit is part of the grand opening of our brand-new headquarters at Bamboo Grand Rapids—and it’s going to be a full-on celebration of the vibrant creativity and innovation we get to experience year-round across the region.
Expect BIG ideas, transformative experiences, food and drink for days, and some of the most interesting people we know all coming together to build something meaningful.
In short: we’re making a trip to West Michigan in early December very worth your while. 🙂
With that in mind—we’re asking our community to help shape what this Summit becomes.
Got an idea for a theme? A speaker you admire? A can’t-miss experience? Or maybe you want to get involved (or sponsor the damn thing 😉)?

🧠BIG IDEA FORM
Back in the weeks after SXSW was canceled in 2020, I had this deep sense of loss—like everything we’d built might be gone forever.
One of the first people I teamed up with in that moment was
, co-founder of Bamboo (remember her from last week?). During those long lockdown months, we created virtual gatherings and podcasts—not because we had time to kill, but because we both realized that the one thing we could hold onto was this community. So many of us were fighting to keep businesses alive, trying to innovate our way out of a crisis—and we couldn’t do it alone.
When I think about the new (and honestly kind of spectacular) building we’re moving into later this year, yeah, I get excited about the space:
A rooftop deck, gallery and event space, a 200-person theater, gorgeous views, right in the heart of downtown. What’s not to love?
But what really gets me going?
The idea of filling that space with you.
Getting this community in the room—hyped, inspired, and connected.
That’s what I’ll be thinking about for the next six months.
So go ahead—block off a couple days in early December. We promise: it’ll be one to remember.
